“Prior to accepting his current position as “”Muck”" in international garage rock sensations Muck and the Mires, Evan Shore was best known as the guitarist and songwriter for The Voodoo Dolls (a favorite opening act of The Ramones). Muck was also singer/guitarist for The Nines, bassist for The Queers (appearing along side JJ Rassler on the band’s infamous recordings with Rolling Stones’ producer Jimmy Miller). He was also the drummer for Quest for Tuna. He lost his high school battle of the bands, but he redeemed himself later on in life by winning Little Steven Van Zandt’s battle of the bands with Muck and the Mires.”
BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most like to have a One Night Band with?
ES: Barry Tashian of The Remains.
BBC: What Boston rockers, past or present, would you most fear having a One Night Band with?
ES: Any cello, violin player or other non-traditional rock instrument player. That stuff is alien to me.
BBC: What is your normal song or part writing process? Will writing three songs in a single day drastically differ from your usual approach to creating music?
ES: Normally I write when inspiration strikes me, but on this day I’ll probably approach it as if I were reporting to work at the Brill Building. Crank out the songs, get ‘em to the band and let the performance begin.
BBC: What Boston band do you have the biggest crush on right now?
ES: I never kiss and tell.
