Usually, we tell you about a show or one-night event to go to. But according to Facebook, Streight Angular’s record release is going to last four months. It’s going on right now, until April. Have you ever had one of those dreams where you’re falling or you realize you are doing something way too fast? I am sure you have, that’s like one of those dreams that everyone has. Thankfully, Streight Angular has given us a musical representation of this feeling so we can experience in our waking ears.

“Supermarché” hurtles through the world at breakneck speed, reminiscent of the scene where that foul bastard Troy – in a battle of dudes with really dumb names – grabs Brand’s wrist while Brand is riding a small girl’s bike, making him pedal all crazy and out of control. You can almost smell the smoke rising from this song’s gears and wheels, but you get the idea that the crash is not something to be feared, in fact it might be a little fun.

The electric mayhem of “Supermarché” comes from the track’s melange of rhythm and tone. The two tumble together like a spinning clothes dryer, joining, unjoining, spinning and getting real hot in the process. The vocals sound like someone taped up a few microphones in a really well-coordinated party where everyone is sing-shouting in unison. I bet they have those kinds of parties at the Magic Room. Streight Angular infuses this track with their own certain brand of energy, and it is an infectious brand at that.
